Viking XPRS to not operate on Tallinn-Helsinki route this weekend due to technical issue

BC, Tallinn, 12.02.2020.Print version
A technical failure was detected on the Finnish shipper Viking Line's Viking XPRS ferry, which operates on the Tallinn-Helsinki route, and the vessel will be docked from Friday to Sunday this week, informed LETA/BNS.

Viking XPRS will stop operating on the route in Helsinki at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and will resume its operation from Tallinn at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The technical issue will not affect the safety of passengers before the vessel is docked, Viking Line said.

The shipper will contact all passengers and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

If a customer has booked a trip for this period, Viking Line will ask them to book a new equivalent trip in the self-service environment with a booking code sent via text message or e-mail. This code is valid for bookings until February 18 and travel until April 5.

If the customer does not wish to book a new trip, the money paid can be used to travel with Viking Line within six months. Customers can also request a refund for a canceled trip.
