Three bids submitted to Rail Baltica's preliminary project procurement in Estonia

Three bids were submitted to Rail Baltica's preliminary project procurement organised by the Estonian government,LETA/Public Broadcasting reports. The bids were in the range of 7.5-13 million euros without VAT.

All three bids were submitted by joint bidders.

 

One bid was submitted by British consultancy Aecom Limited and its subsidiaries together with French concern Systra.

 

One bid was submitted by Estonian companies Reaalprojekt, Hendrikson&Ko, EA Reng and Lithuanian design company UAB Kelprojektas.

 

The third joint bid was by Swedish Sweco Energuide AB together with Estonian and Latvian subsidiaries and Spanish company Ineco.

 

The procurement was aimed to get a theme plan for the route of the railway line in Estonia, evaluation of environmental effects and compiling a preliminary construction project.

 

The procurement was declared for the second time as the procurement declared last October got just one bid and that had too high a price.

 

The preliminary project should be completed by 2015.
