Stadler expects that agreement with Pasazieru vilciens will be signed
Thus Stadler expects that the procurement will continue and an agreement with PV will be signed as soon as possible, so that the company can begin constructing trains for Latvia as soon as possible.
Stadler points out it is informed about the recent resignation of PV's board and the appointment of a new board. The company points out that it understands the Transport Ministry's desire to work for the good of the public and gain the necessary confidence regarding the financial aspects of the deal.
Stadler is open and ready to explain to the new PV board the main aspects of the company's offer, especially in the wake of the misleading and inaccurate information that has been circulating in the media in recent days.
As reported, Stadler had won PV's procurement tender for leasing new electric trains, worth several million euros.
The tender is being disputed by Hyundai Rotem Company who was disqualified because its bid failed to meet requirements.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the PV board submitted its resignation. Previously, the company's shareholders were planning to discharge the board, as Transport Minister and shareholder Anrijs Matiss (Unity) was not satisfied with the new train lease procurement funding offer.
