People will not be allowed smoking in bus stops in Lithuania's capital

From January 1 2014 people will not be allowed smoking in bus stops in Lithuania's capital, informs LETA/ELTA.

The proposal made by the passengers in the social networks was approved by the Council of the Municipality of Vilnius city.


Moreover, from the same day, the smoking will be prohibited in Vincas Kudirka square and Bernardinai garden. The suggestion to announce the Vincas Kudirkas square the non-smoking zone was proposed by the group For the civilized Vilnius under the leadership of Zydrunas Savickas.


If people do not keep to the requirements, they will have to pay fine of LTL 20-50 (EUR 5.7 - 14.4).
