Estonian Air annulled 18 flights due to upgrading software

Estonian national carrier Estonian Air annulled 18 flights on 9 routes on Wednesday and Thursday due to upgrading software, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The company announced on its homepage that due to technical reasons Thursday's flights OV651/652 Tallinn-Vilnius-Tallinn, OV623/624 Tallinn-St.Petersburg-Tallinn, OV353/354 Tallinn-Vilnius-Tallinn, OV137/138 Tallinn-Oslo-Tallinn and OV687/688 Tallinn-Stockholm-Tallinn are cancelled. Passengers of affected flights will be rerouted to other flights. Fights OV175/176 Tallinn-Brussels-Tallinn and OV173/174 Tallinn-Amsterdam-Tallinn are combined under single flight number OV173 Tallinn-Amsterdam-Brussels-Tallinn. Flight OV473 Tallinn-Amsterdam is operated under the flight number OV177 Tallinn-Amsterdam-Brussels.

 

"Currently two planes are in non-planned maintenance. Estonian Air's technicians do all they can to get the planes back on routes as quickly s possible," said Estonian Air's spokeswoman Ilona Eskelinen, adding that the reason for cancelling the flights was the need to additionally test the work of software of the planes.
