The academic community will help Ministry to achieve best results in creating balanced, safe and environmentally friendly transport system and modern information society, writes LETA.
"We want the support of academic community – the best experts in their fields, working with transportation and information technologies who could express their views on various strategic issues. Lithuanian scientists are currently involved in our work groups, preparing studies, sharing information. But creation of council will strengthen our relations, ensure a constant dialogue with Lithuanian scientists", said Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communications Eligijus Masiulis.
Potential candidates to Council are recommended by Lithuanian academy of science, Lithuanian council of science, associated scientists organizations and other institutions.
The Minister invited 22 scientists to join the Council and collaborate for country’s sake.
