This is already the third time in a few weeks that an insolvency claim is submitted to courts against BAS, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.
The court will review the claim on March 12.
The insolvency claim deals with a debt, however, Eurobalt Junipro's CEO and owner, Gunars Silavs, refuses to reveal how much BAS owes and to whom. Eurobalt Junipro, a debt collection company, bought the right to collect the debt from BAS, yet Silavs did not say from whom and how large the debt was.
As reported, an insolvency claim filed against BAS by the Veriko company was turned down by Riga District Court on February 6, but then received another insolvency claim from Finansu restrukturizacijas risinajumi Ltd. - this claim will be reviewed on March 1.
Portal "Delfi" reports that both Veriko and Finansu restrukturizacijas risinajumi are affiliated with the ex-Prime Minister Andris Skele's family.
As reported, Krajbanka" subsidiary Atlantijas biroji is the owner of BAS since February 6. According to audit company KPMG Baltics, BAS owes Krajbanka LVL 14 million, therefore the bank is interested in successful operations of BAS.
