The Airport has made preliminary agreements with public relations companies Via Media, Viesuju Rysiu Grupe and Media House, reports LETA/ELTA.

The VPT says that the Airport could not sign contracts with these companies because they had made a collusion on prices. The total value of the contracts amounts to LTL 50 million (EUR 14.5 million). The Office stated that the TVOU, by making preliminary agreements with the three companies, has violated the Law's Article 39 which says that "the contracting authority shall reject the tender, if the tenderer who submitted it fails to meet the minimum qualification requirements set out in the contract documents".

The VPT also said that that the Airport breached the provision on the principle of non-discrimination, mutual recognition, proportionality and of transparency. It has asked the Airport to terminate all preliminary agreements that do not comply with the Law and inform on that in 10 days.
