BC, Tallinn, 05.06.2020.Print version
Estonia's Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Taavi Aas has extended until June 21 a prohibition for flight connections from Estonia to be restored to countries with high coronavirus infection rates, informs LETA/BNS.
The restriction had been previously imposed until June 7.
The restriction extended until June 21 concerned Sweden, the UK, Portugal, Belarus, the United States and Russia as at Thursday.
The minister signed the first such order on May 17.
In order for it to be possible for an air route from Estonia to be opened, the rate of infection in the country of destination must be 25 people or less per 100,000 inhabitants during the past 14 days.
The Estonian ministry reviews the epidemiological situation in the countries of destination and makes adjustments to the list of countries covered by the restrictions on a daily basis.
