The Lithuanian seaport of Klaipeda handled a total of 46.22 mln tons of cargo last year, down 0.8% from the 2018 all-time high of 46.58 mln tons, the port authority said LETA/BNS.
As last year's figures are not final, the difference between the 2018 and 2019 results may be even smaller, it said.
Last year, the port recorded the strongest growth in the bulk cargo segment, and a slight increase in liquid cargo handling.
The total number of ship calls in Klaipeda fell to 6,776 in 2019, from 7,082 in 2018.
