BC, Vilnius, 17.06.2016.Print version
The European Investment Bank (EIB) will grant a 30-million-euro grant to the state-run Vilnius airport, with guarantees provided by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), also known as the Juncker plan, informs LETA/BNS.

The 15-year loan, which will be used for security improvements at the airport, makes about 44% of the total project value of 69 million euros, the Lithuanian Finance Ministry said.

Indre Baltrusaitiene, head of communications and marketing at Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports) said the projects to be financed with the loan money were yet to be decided.

"We have not received the loan yet. We have 11 projects, however, the financing will only be finalized after receipt of funding information from the European Commission," said Baltrusaitiene.
