Estonian two times Olympic bronze eyeing manufacture of electric cars in Ukraine

Print versionJuri Tamm, who won bronze in hammer throw in the Moscow Olympics in 1980 and in Barcelona in 1988, is planning to start manufacturing electric cars in Ukraine a couple of years from now if he can find an investor to put 4 million euros into the project, Postimees said.

Tamm holds a stake in the company Electric Marathon International, which according to the newspaper has built a prototype named Synchronous using components built on the world market. The company is planning to start out by producing a batch of 20 cars, informs LETA/BNS.
Tamm has been active as a businessman in Ukraine in the past several years.
