Liepajas Osta LM stevedore declared insolvent

Print versionLiepajas Osta LM stevedore was declared insolvent in a written procedure at the court in Liepaja port city in Latvia’s south-west on May 12th, writes LETA.

Zanda Kokare-Rode has been appointed as the insolvency administrator for Liepajas Osta LM, the court’s representative, Inta Kurpa, told LETA.
Kokare-Rode was proposed as the insolvency administrator after the court refused to give this appointment to Anna Velmere, the wife of Haralds Velmers, the insolvency administrator of Liepajas Metalurgs metallurgical company which used to be the owner of Liepajas Osta LM.
In September 2014, Velmers sold 95.2% of shares in Liepajas Osta LM, a subsidiary of Liepajas Metalurgs, to Russian individual Konstantin Goncharov for EUR 150,000. Velmers said at the time that Goncharov had bought Liepajas Osta LM with all its liabilities totaling more than EUR 12 million.
