Toyota calls back 1,474 vehicles in Estonia

Print versionJapanese automaker Toyota calls back 1,474 vehicles in Estonia due to a window switch fault, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Toyota Baltic AS marketing manager Elli Tiivel told the ERR news portal that it is necessary to check the main switch of electric windows of some Toyota Auris, Corolla, RAV4, Yaris and Urban Cruiser models.
"In the absence of sufficient lubrication and, in certain conditions, short circuit can happen in the switch which can cause the switch to overheat and melt. The melting switch may cause smoke and is potentially flammable," added Tiivel.
Toyota recalls for the above reason a total of 6.5 million vehicles across the world. The carmaker says so far no accident has happened for the above-mentioned reason.
