LDz Cargo CEO Macs believes he could be laid off
BC, Riga, 06.10.2015.Print version
Guntis Macs, CEO of the rail transport company LDz Cargo, believes he could lose his job already today, informs LETA.
Macs told the Latvian Television (LTV) show "Rita panorama" that the acting CEO of LDz Cargo’s parent company Latvijas Dzelzcels, Aivars Straksas, has invited him to a "private discussion", during which Straksas could bring up Macs' dismissal.
Macs believes that the motion to fire him could be related to "business division", namely, disagreements on possible reorganization at LDz Cargo.
Meanwhile, Transport Minister Anrijs Matiss (Unity) told LTV that decisions regarding LDz Cargo are within the competence of the LDz board. Straksas plans to meet with Macs in the near future to evaluate LDz Cargo’s performance results.
In Matiss' opinion, LDz Cargo’s performance is below par.
