If a customs officer determines that a person brings goods in his personal baggage or fuel in a private car into the Republic of Lithuania from third countries for the 4th time and more per calendar month, customs duties and taxes will be assessed for him.

The control of goods and fuel brought by travellers is strengthened taking into consideration the practices of neighbouring countries and with a view to fighting against "shadow economy".
