Estonian travel agency starts selling trips to Egypt again

BC, Tallinn, 16.06.2014.Print version
Estonian travel agency GoAdventure starts selling Egyptian holiday trips again, although the foreign ministry warning not to travel to Egypt has not been cancelled, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

GoAdventure reasoned that many other countries do not think that it is dangerous to travel to Egypt. "They estimate that critical events that have occurred in politics in recent years impact the work of governmental organizations in Cairo and Alexandria and don’t concern vacationers," the company announced.

GoAdventure Estonia CEO Marina Moks said that Finnish tour operators have begun selling trips to Egypt too again.

Estonian Foreign Ministry warned in late March that due to increased security risks, travelling to Egypt, including tourist resorts, should be avoided. Several Estonian travel agencies then stopped selling trips to Egypt and brought back their tourists from there. GoAdventure sent tourists to Egypt even when other travel agencies started bringing theirs back but eventually followed the example of others.
