Baltic Cruises buys EUR 10.4 mln worth of Tallink shares

Baltic Cruises Investment L.P on March 15th bought 14.1 million shares of the listed Estonian shipper Tallink Grupp for 10.4 million euros in an off-exchange trade, informs LETA/BNS.

According to data of the Financial Supervision Authority, Tallink's shares were on the same day purchased also by Kaima Capital Eesti OU and UAB D Investiciju Valdymas. Both companies bought 400,000 shares for which they paid 592,000 euros. The firms are controlled by Lauri Kustaa Aima, a member of the supervisory board of Tallink Grupp.

 

The buyers acquired the shares at a price of 0.74 euros. On Monday, Tallink closed at 0.92 euros.

 

Baltic Cruises is the second-largest investor in Tallink Grupp after Infortar.

 

As of Tuesday, Baltic Cruises Holding L.P. owns 121.7 million Tallink shares, which constitute 18.06% of voting stock, and Baltic Cruises Investment L.P. owns 14.1 million shares or 2.09% of Tallink Grupp's voting stock.

 

Both companies are controlled by TRG Allocation Offshore Ltd., which thus has control over 135.8 million shares or 20.15% of voting stock.
