Estonian people have started to order a lot of goods from e-stores abroad and especially the amount of parcels arriving from China is posting records, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

While in March two years ago, around 16,000 international maxi letters, i.e. small parcels, were ordered from China and in March last year 30,000, in March this year a record 109,000 parcels arrived from China and in April that record will be broken, Eesti Post's spokeswoman Kadri Tonka said.

"It is just the middle of April but already now it can be seen that this month there will be considerably more parcels than in March," said Eesti Post's postal services division head Kaido Padar.

As compared to the year 2012, the volume of international registered maxi letters has increased by nearly 600%. The statistics show clearly that e-commerce is powerfully developing in Estonia.
