Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius has admitted that export of Lithuanian food to China for now is impossible, informs LETA/ELTA.

According to the head of the government, Lithuania's Embassy in Beijing has informed him that the planned visit of the representatives of China has been cancelled.

During the Government Hour at the Seimas, the prime minister did not reveal the reasons for it yet he mentioned that these reasons are very well known to everyone.

"We have agreed and signed certain documents and certificates for dairy export to China. Up to date these certificates are still in China, though they should have been signed three weeks ago. () I believe all of you are well aware of the reasons for Chinese market being closed to Lithuania. I have met with China's Ambassador in Lithuania. We have also received a letter from our embassy in China which says that the visit of the Chinese officials is halted and the meetings planned in advance are also cancelled," said Butkevicius.
