Latvenergo has been named Latvia's most valuable company for 13th year in a row

Power utility Latvenergo has been named Latvia's most valuable company for 13th year in a row, writes LETA, according to the latest annual Top 101 of Latvia's most valuable enterprises.

The total value of Latvenergo this year is estimated at EUR 1.653 billion, which is 5% more than last year.


Latvenergo has also been recognized as the most valuable energy company in the Baltic states. The value of Estonia's Eesti Energia is EUR 1.615 billion, and the value of Lithuania's Ignitis Grupe is EUR 1.491 billion.

 

State forest management company Latvijas Valsts Mezi is ranked second with the company's value estimated at EUR 1.159 billion, and Rimi Latvia retailer is in third place with the company's value estimated at EUR 577.6 million.


Fourth on the list is Maxima Latvija retailer, with the company's value estimated at EUR 503.5 million, followed by Repharm (EUR 473.3 million), Swedbank (EUR 432.6 million), Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (EUR 421.7 million), Tet (EUR 420.5 million), Latvijas Gaze (EUR 377.2 million), and Latvijas Dzelzcels (EUR 341 million) is in tenth place.


The aggregate value of Latvia's 101 most valuable companies is EUR 16.4 billion.


Latvenergo is also one of two Latvian companies that have made it to the Top 10 most valuable Baltic companies, ranking third, while Latvijas Valsts Mezi ranked eighth.


The most valuable Baltic companies this year are Vilniaus Prekyba, Swedbank Group, Latvenergo, Eesti Energia, Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltics, Ignitis Grupe, Tallink Group, Latvijas Valsts Mezi, Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai, and DEB group.


Top 101 of Latvia's most valuable enterprises has been collated since 2005 by Prudentia and Nasdaq Riga in cooperation with Firmas.lv.
