Former Nike exec Luha to lead eAgronom's global expansion in Estonia

Kristjan Luha, former vice president for football at Nike, has joined the team of the Estonian startup eAgronom to head its international expansion, reports LETA/BNS.

Robin Saluoks, co-founder of eAgronom, said in a press release on Tuesday that Kristjan Luha brings with him necessary experience in expanding the business of a company, entry into new markets and building of necessary processes.


"We are making the first steps outside the European Union to bring top-level now-how to farmers all over the world. The implementation of the vision is supported also by an investment of 10 million euros planned for spring 2021," Saluoks said.


During his 17-year career with Nike, Luha was the head of Nike'i businesses in Greece and Russia. For the past two years, he was in charge of the global football business at Nike in his capacity as vice president.


eAgronom was founded by Robin Saluoks and Stenver Jerkku in Tartu in 2016. At present, clients of eAgronom manage over a million hectares of farmland in seven countries.


The company builds a farm management software and digital advisory service to help farmers produce food in a sustainable and profitable manner.
