Baltic M&A market sees 13 major transactions in Q4

Print versionIn the fourth quarter of 2015, 13 merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions worth at least 5 million U.S. dollars were carried out in the Baltic countries, it appears from figures available from the analysis company Mergermarket, cites LETA/BNS.

Such transactions numbered 16 in the fourth quarter of 2014 and 10 in the third quarter of 2015.
The overall value of M&A transactions concluded in the Baltic countries in the first three quarters of last year was 559 million euros compared to 788 million euros a year earlier.
The biggest transactions in Estonia were the acquisition of the waste handling company AS Eesti Keskkonnateenused, Dental Invest Estonia and Opuscapita by the private equity and venture capital investor Baltcap and the acquisition of USS Security by the businessman Mark Luts.
