Representatives of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have gone to the United States to meet with business owners in New York and discuss cooperation, investment prospects, and export opportunities, informs LETA, according to LCCI.

On Tuesday, September 29, the European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing a high-ranking luncheon and a business dialogue with LCCI.

The delegation consists of several businessmen and LCCI President Aigars Rostovskis. Participating in the luncheon will also be Latvian Ambassador to the United States Andris Razans.

"Up until now, LCCI was focusing on facilitating the export, working with Europe, Russia, and other eastern countries. We have established a significant network of representatives in order for our members to gain access to quality consultations and recommendations. By expanding the business opportunities, LCCI begins improving cooperation with the United States. It is important for Latvia to look for alternative export markets, as many businessmen have suffered from Russia's sanctions. This also affects a number of European producers, which is why we must expand our horizons," says Rostovskis.
