Mihkelson said after the meeting with State Duma foreign committee chairman Aleksei Pushkov that the meetings he and the Riigikogu foreign committee delegation had in Moscow on Wednesday and Thursday increased his faith that a positive result would be achieved on the border agreement.

He also called Russia to pay attention to other agreements that have been stalled in the Russian side; for example the agreement of avoiding double taxation, which is very important for businessmen and which Estonia has already approved. The agreement on emergency situations is waiting for intergovernmental agreement to help solve situations connected for example to forest fires. Diplomatic real estate agreement, higher education agreement are important for Estonia and cross-border cooperation agreement and customs procedures should be discussed as well as the situation of the Ivangorod-Narva border checkpoint situation, said Mihkelson.

The Riigikogu foreign committee returns to Estonia on Friday.
