Sports events, adult education and children's camps to be allowed in Latvia
According to the minister, after the state of emergency ends in Latvia on Wednesday, life will not go back to the normal everyday regime as certain restrictions will remain in place, some of them even by the end of this year - for example, the two-meter distance as a requirement or recommendation.
Vinkele said that as of June 10, people are allowed to gather in groups of up to 100, but there is a requirement to ensure four square meters of space per person.
Up to 30 people will be allowed to come together for sports event, up to 50 people for adult education and children's camps, observing the hygiene protocol. Up to eight people will be allowed to sit at one table in catering, observing distance.
The minister said that Covid-19 incidence in Latvia shows a downward trend, even though there are separate outbreaks now and then.
About 40 percent of new Covid-19 cases are people who have arrived in Latvia from abroad, which is a signals that as the borders are open, incidence may increase again, and people should be cautious while going abroad.
