Estonia allocates EUR 2.8 mln for development cooperation in Eastern Partnership countries

The Estonian Foreign Ministry will support 43 new development cooperation projects in Eastern Partnership countries Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine with more than 2.8 million euros, informs LETA/BNS.

"The projects are related to cyber security, promotion of women's entrepreneurship, development of e-services in healthcare, building of anti-corruption capacity, creative industries and agriculture, digital market and digitalization, and education and training, among others. This shows that Estonia has much to offer to the world in a variety of fields," said Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand, who approved the appropriations.

 

The biggest number of new cooperation projects will be carried out in Ukraine, with 1,216,218 euros granted for 16 projects. Funding for 12 projects in Moldova totals 733,198 euros, for 10 projects in Georgia 721,964 euros and for five projects in Belarus 239,739 euros.

 

The projects will be implemented in 2016-2018.
