"Today we are talking about our cooperation in the fields of innovation, life sciences, agriculture and tourism, as we can see mutual benefits of this. Export of Lithuanian fish and fishery products to Brazil's market of almost 200 million citizens have been authorised by the Government of Brazil. This is a good start in terms of further development of economic relations," said Linkevicius.

The ministers discussed the relations between the European Union and Brazil, key global diplomacy and regional issues. Linkevicius underlined that the international community had to send a clear and unified message to Russia, condemning Russia's actions in Ukraine.

The minister of external relations of Brazil accepted an invitation to visit Lithuania.

A group of producers of vehicle parts and exporters has arrived as part of the delegation of Minister Linkevicius, they came to participate in the biggest international expo of vehicle parts in Latin American San Paulo.

The Seimas (Parliament of Lithuania) established a Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Federative Republic of Brazil to intensify bilateral political relations.
