Spying Dudarevs wanted to enroll at St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation

BC, Riga, 03.03.2015.Print version
Andrejs Dudarevs, who has been expelled from Russia on allegations of spying, actually wanted to enroll at the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, the daily "Neatkariga" reports today, cites LETA.

Dudarevs has a bachelor's degree and he wanted to study for his master's degree at the university. Being Russian, he preferred to study in the Russian language. However, he never had a chance to submit his documents, as he did not get past the initial interview.

The one-and-a-half-hour interview was becoming increasingly odd by the minute. Dudarevs was asked bizarre questions, which already included answers. The interviewers did not provide their names, yet they knew every detail about Dudarevs' life. Finally he was accused of having intentions to spy on Russia's defense sector and military aviation.

Dudarevs gave up on his idea and had already forgotten about it until a friend of his called him last Sunday telling him to turn on the TV.

Dudarevs denies being a spy or traitor.
