At the meeting the foreign ministers discussed opportunities to enhance trade relations, first of all promotion of export of Lithuanian meat and dairy products to China.

The Chinese foreign minister assured that his country is interested in importing Lithuanian goods and said that their quality is highly valued.

The ministers also agreed to sign as soon as possible an agreement on bilateral recognition of higher education diplomas, thus promoting student exchange.

According to Minister Wang Yi, China is interested in participating in railway projects in the Baltic States. He emphasised China's experience in implementing major transport infrastructure projects.

Linkevicius welcomed China's initiative to hold the UN SC debates seeking to commemorate the end of the Second World War and the adoption of the UN Charter. The minister emphasised that the world's peace is in serious danger when the principles of the Charter are being violated by one of the permanent members of the UN SC by changing international borders using force and carrying out aggression against Ukraine.

The Chinese minister said Ukraine's territorial integrity must be respected and noted the importance of implementing the Minsk agreements.
