Ventbunkers earns EUR 19.2 mln in 2013

In 2013, Ventbunkers turned over EUR 69.5 million, which is 17% more than in 2012, while the company's net profit in 2013 was EUR 19.2 million, as compared to EUR 128,000 in 2012, Ventbunkers informed the business portal Nozare.lv, cites LETA.

In 2013, the total amount of oil products handled by the Ventbunkers terminal was 4.3 million tons, which is 40% more than in 2012.

 

The largest proportion was registered for light distillates – 2.7 million tons, which is about two times more than in 2012. The amount of heavy distillates made up 1.5 million tons.

 

Ventbunkers management succeeded at halting several major lawsuits the company was involved in last year, as a result, the company could reduce the amount of provisions for possible losses. Meanwhile, EUR 1.6 million was earned through dividends from other Ventbunkers group companies.

 

In 2013, Ventbunkers was recognized as the largest taxpayer in the transport and storage sector in Ventspils.

 

The amount of the company's assets reached EUR 163 million in 2013, while the company's equity was EUR 144. At the end of 2013, Ventbunkers demonstrated excellent liquidity indicators, as the amount of liquid assets exceeded short-term liabilities more than twofold.

 

In 2013, Ventbunkers invested EUR 1.3 million into maintaining and improving a steady level of terminal capacity.
