World's first auto-follow action sports drone "AirDog" has already amassed USD 200,000 (EUR 147,780) on the crowd-funding platform "Kickstarter", that are required to begin the manufacturing, the business portal Nozare.lv indicates, cites LETA.

In order for the project to be successful, the required sum is USD 200,000. Helico Aerospace Industries representative Andis Blinds had high expectations about this project, and finally, his hopes have come true.

The project was posted on "Kickstarter" on June 16, with the goal to amass USD 200,000 in 40 days.

Currently, "AirDog" has 285 backers, of which 100 have pre-ordered the drone for USD 995 (EUR 735), but 47 people are ready to pay USD 1,195 (EUR 883) in order to be first in line to acquire the drone.

If the project receives even a larger sum of donations, the company promises to offer extra optional colors for the drone, and the possibility to connect a "GoPro" video camera to the drone's lithium polymer battery.

"AirDog" is to be manufactured at the Latvian electronics manufacturing company Hanzas elektronika.
