Print versionThe world's leading electronic sea maps and systems producer Navionics opened a development centre in Estonia, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

It chose former GuardTime Estonia chief Raul Vahisalu as the chief of the centre, said Enterprise Estonia.
Navionics' founder and president Giuseppe Carnevali said that the final choice was made in favour of Estonia based on the three Baltic states comparison as several factors were in favour of Estonia: favourable tax and labour legislation, low corruption level, balance of payroll costs and cost of living, existence of public infrastructure, the state's interest, possibilities of cooperating with universities, high level of sea culture and know-how in high-tech sphere.
