The Estonian government gave permission at its Thursday session to include 27 more buildings in the list of buildings to be renovated in the framework of the so-called green investment programme of the state, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.
The lists of these buildings will be added into the state's excess pollution quota sales contracts with Marubeni Corporation and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
The chance to add new objects to the list of objects to be renovated emerges thanks to the fact that in addition to reserves, construction work has been cheaper than planned, thanks to successful state procurement contests. Also, the deadline of completion of the works will be extended till the end of 2013.
The 27 buildings that will be more heating insulated includes several schools and kindergartners, county government buildings and museums, sports buildings, nursing homes, North Estonian Regional Hospital's B-unit and Public Broadcasting's radio building.
