In 2011 exports and imports in Lithuania grew by 28.9% and 28.2%

In December 2011, against November, exports decreased by 2.7%. This was influenced by a decrease in exports of petroleum products – by 9%, cereals – 37.1%, furniture – 10%. Imports decreased by 7.3%, which was determined by a decrease in imports of crude petroleum – by 25.3%, electrical machinery and equipment and part thereof – 11.3%. Mineral products excluded, the change in exports was insignificant, while imports decreased by 3.8%. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 6%, mineral products excluded – 3.6%.
In December 2011, against December 2010, exports grew by 11.2%. This was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products – by 15.9%, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof – 34.8%. Imports grew by 8%, which was determined by an increase in imports of mineral products – by 5.1%, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof – 19.5%, fertilisers – 2.2 times. Mineral products excluded, exports of goods grew by 10.4%, imports – 9.5%. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin grew by 8.9%, mineral products excluded – 9.2%.
In 2011, against 2010, exports and imports grew by 28.9 and 28.2% respectively. An increase in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of petroleum products – by 40.2%, ground vehicles – 42.6%, fertilisers – 61.2%. An increase in imports was determined by an increase in imports of crude petroleum – by 30.2%, ground vehicles – 48.5%, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof – 31.3%. Mineral products excluded, exports and imports increased by 25.5 and 24.8% respectively. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin increased by 25.2%, mineral products excluded – by 20.4%.
In 2011, the most important partners in exports were Russia (16.6%), Latvia (10.2%), Germany (9.3%), and Poland (7%), in imports – Russia (32.8%), Germany (9.7%), Poland (9.1%), and Latvia (6.6%).
In 2011, the largest share in exports fell within mineral products (25.6%), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (10.3%), products of the chemical or allied industries (9.2%), in imports – mineral products (35.1%), machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment (12.2%), products of the chemical or allied industries (10.4%).
