NIB lends EUR 33.5 mln to Ignitis's wind farm in Poland

The Nordic Investment Bank plans to lend up to 150 million zloty (around 33.5 million euros) to Pomerania Wind Farm, part of Lithuanian energy group Ignitis Grupe's (Ignitis Group), for the implementation of the 94 MW Pomerania wind farm project which is being developed in Poland, reports LETA/BNS.

On October12, the board of Ignitis Group approved the first-call guarantee agreement for this loan between the company and NIB, the group announced.


Ignitis plans to repay the loan by December 31, 2035.


It was reported in March, that the European Investment Bank would also lend 258 million zloty (around 60 million euros) for up to 15 years for the project, and 100 percent of Ignitis Renewables' shares were placed as collateral.


The Pomerania wind farm is located in Pomeranian Voivodship, Poland. The project is expected to be fully operational in the spring of 2021. The wind park has an expected production capacity of 300 GWh of electricity annually.
