Adven builds dryer, bio boiler plant for wood pellet manufacturer in Sweden
The plant that was commissioned in July was necessary to meet Fuelwood's need to both expand capacity and be able to use various raw materials in production operations.
In August 2019, Fuelwood and Adven entered into an agreement on energy supply at Fuelwood's pellet production site in Soderhamn. Until then, Fuelwood had used waste materials from the nearby business Svenska Fonster. The new production line enables the company to utilize waste materials with a higher moisture content, including materials from the local wood industry and sawmills.
The project carried out by Fuelwood kicked off in November. Adven began the construction of a dryer with a capacity of eight tons per hour in December and carried out the final installations at the beginning of 2020. The construction of the three-megawatt boiler plant started in February.
The installation faced some delays due to the coronavirus but, at the beginning of June, the project plan was adjusted accordingly, and the plant was commissioned in July, almost three months later than planned.
"Everything has gone very well, despite the challenges that followed the COVID-19 outbreak. Adven has shown dedication and proactivity, and now we are up and running with the plant and pellet production," said Tanel Teimann, CEO of Fuelwood Group.
Fuelwood Group AB is a Swedish company that aims to develop pellet plants based on modular technology in Sweden.
Adven is a provider of energy services in the form of steam and heat production, and cooling, and has among it offering various solutions aimed at advancing the efficiency of the use of energy, water and materials.
