Lithuania's Kauno Energija signs EUR 55 mln loan contract with EIB

Kauno Energija (Kaunas Energy), a centralized heating provider in Lithuania's second-largest city of Kaunas, has signed a contract on a loan worth 55 mln euros with the European Investment Bank.
The loan will be used to fund the company's investment program over the next five years.
The agreement was signed last Friday after it was approved by the company's shareholders on August 4, Kauno Energija said.
The total value of planned investment projects stands at 112 mln euros, including 55 mln euros from the EIB. The loan will be repaid over 20 years.
