The biggest convention center in Baltics accepted into operation in Riga

Convention center Atta Centre, built at the former site of Elkor furniture center in Riga, was accepted into operation earlier this week; the center's total area is 22,700 square meters and it's the biggest in Baltics, as the conference center's representatives told LETA.

Atta Centre is a multifunctional business complex with 29 conference halls, an office center and co-working space, a restaurant, and a parking lot with charging stations. The convention center will open on September 1.


Atta Centre Director General Janis Astahovs says that a special self-control protocol, Atta Clean, has been developed to control all operations of the center: catering services, disinfection of surfaces, air conditioning, distance between patrons, temperature screening and other aspects.


According to the convention center's sales director Nadia Ignase, various facilities at the center have already been booked for dozens of different events in September - seminars, banquets, recreational events and others.


Atta Centre belongs to Morient IG, which has not revealed the amount invested into the development of the center.


Morient IG was registered in 2013, its share capital is EUR 2.16 million. The company's owners are Chapman 19 (65.25 percent), A-Kvadrats (27.5 percent) and A-Space (7.25 percent). Ints Ozolins and Bulgarian citizen Sauranbek Musin are the company's beneficial owners.


According to Firmas.lv, Morient IG posted EUR 426,136 in losses last year.
