Karavela fish cannery raises turnover by at least 20% in H1
He described the first half of 2020 as generally very good for the company, even though sales dropped in April on the Covid-19 crisis as compared to the same period a year ago.
In July, however, sales results have been even better than planned, Endele said.
Given the results achieved so far this year, Karavela expects its 2020 turnover for exceed EUR 60, which would be above this year's target, as in some product groups, including exports of smoked herring to the U.S., the company's results have been better than expected.
This year, Karavela continues work on new products, which will be offered to retail chains like Lidl, Aldi and Kaufland. The company is also in talks with new potential clients.
Karavela closed 2019 with EUR 51.691 mдn in turnover and a profit of EUR 5.077 mln.
