Dobeles Dzirnavnieks posts 10.5% turnover growth for 2019

Latvia's Dobeles Dzirnavnieks grain mil turned over EUR 129.638 million in 2019, which is an increase of 10.5 percent against a year before, while the company's profit rose 11.5 percent on year to EUR 4.199 million, informs LETA, according to information available at Firmas.lv.

The company's management informed that in 2019 Dobeles Dzirnavnieks processed 285,000 tons of grain, which is 30,000 tons more than in 2018, and the company's export sales accounted for 60 percent of total turnover.


In 2019, Dobeles Dzirnavnieks started work on two new projects, developing full circle organic grain infrastructure and purchasing an innovative pasta production line. 


Last year, the company increased its grain storage capacity to 260,000 tons as it completed construction of 19 news silos. Also, EUR 11.9 million were invested in the company's general infrastructure and production technologies. 


This year's investments are planned at EUR 18 million, the grain mill's management said. 


As reported, in 2018 Dobeles Dzirnavnieks achieved EUR 117.35 million in turnover and EUR 3.766 million in profit.


According to Firmas.lv, Dobeles Dzirnavnieks was registered in 1991 and its share capital is EUR 3.897 million. The company's largest shareholder with 93.99 percent of shares is the Estonian grain producer Tartu Mill.


Dobeles Dzirnavnieks main activities include production of all kinds of wheat flour, semolina, flour mix, pasta, cereal flakes, groats and animal feed.
