Chef Martins Ritins to head Biblioteka No1 restaurant
BC, Riga, 19.02.2020.Print version
Latvian celebrity chef Martins Ritins became head of the Biblioteka No1 restaurant in Riga on Wednesday, spokeswoman Margrieta Akmens informed LETA.
The restaurant's previous head was Oskars Skara, a board member of Turisma Infrastrukturas Attistibas Fonds (Tourism Infrastructure Development Fund).
The restaurant is scheduled for reopening in the second week of March, Akmens said.
While work on its new brand and concept continues, the restaurant will be operating under its current name but will have a new menu.
Ritins told LETA that the restaurant's new menu will be created as "his signature".
He revealed that the restaurant's overhaul will begin with improvements that may not be visible to its patrons. The kitchen will be refurbished and provided with new equipment and a new network of suppliers will be developed so that the restaurant can welcome guests as soon as possible, Ritins said.
