Riga Airport raises number of passengers 16.3% in 11 months

Riga International Airport handled 6.539 mln air passengers in the first 11 months of 2018, which was a 16.3% increase against the respective period a year ago, according to information released by the airport.
In November, the number of passengers at Riga Airport grew
10.8% y-o-y to 511,378.
During the 11 months of 2018, the airport handled 77,131
flights, up 12.2 % from the same period a year ago, including 6,332 flights in
November, up 4.4 % y-o-y.
The airport’s cargo turnover rose 13.2% y-o-y to 25,618 tons
in January-November 2018. In November 2018, cargo turnover dropped 17.9 % from
the same month in 2017 to 2,382 tons.
During the first 11 months of 2017, Riga Airport handled
5.622 mln passengers, 68,764 flights and 22,626 tons of cargo.
Riga Airport is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic
countries.
