BC, Vilnius, 06.12.2018.Print version
Oman airports are interested in investing in Lithuania's aviation sector, according the 15min news website reported LETA/BNS.

Oman Airports Management Company CEO Aimen Ahmed Al Hosni visited the airports in Vilnius and Kaunas and met with Deputy Transport Minister Ricardas Degutis during his visit to Lithuania last week.

According to the website, Oman is interested in Lithuania as a growing region and thinks that the country's aviation market is not saturated and has potential for growth.

"Lithuania is a growing nation and has a lot of potential. There is a lot to offer," Al Hosni told 15min.

"We had discussions with the authorities and are now at an initial stage. We'll see what the authorities' attitude toward airport management is and will then decide what we can do here or where to invest here, in airports, in the aviation sector," the CEO said.

"Lithuania does not have a national airline. The country's aviation sector also has potential for growth," he added.

Degutis said the Arab country's officials also raised the issue of Lithuanian airports' concession, but were informed that such a possibility was not being considered at the moment.
