BLRT invests EUR 2.1 mln in Ukraine in 2017

Estonian industrial group BLRT Grupp this year invested 2.1 million euros into its Ukrainian subsidiaries, Elme Messer Gaas and Elme Trans, reports LETA/BNS.

"Investments worth 1.2 million euros supported increasing sales volumes and revenue growth by 10 percent," the CFO of Elme Messer Gaas, Aleksandr Timarov, said in a press release. He added that the projects that were carried out allowed the company to enter the West Ukrainian market as a major participant.


"We have invested more than 45 million euros in Ukraine for the part 10 years," Timarov said.


According to BLRT's chief communications officer Karina Kond, 1.2 million euros was invested in the operations of Elme Messer Gaas and 900,000 euros in the operations of Elme Trans. In the past two years Elme Trans has invested more than 2 million euros in Ukraine.


Elme Messer Gaas was established in 1999. The company is owned in equal shares by the German Messer Group and BLRT Grupp. Elme Trans operates on the transport services and equipment rental services market in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine and Finland.
