As Latvian cargo transportation companies still have big interest in transporting cargos to Poland, Latvia and Poland has agreed to exchange additional 100 permits for truckers, the Latvian Road Transport Directorate reported LETA.

Initially Latvia and Poland had exchanged 500 permits for transportation of cargos to and from the third countries. So far 88 percent of those permits have been used. The joint Latvian and Polish commission agreed to exchange additional 100 permits for this year and increase the permit quota for next year to 600.

The commission during the meeting also discussed problems related with international passenger transportation and cooperation between both countries.
