US Harbortouch to open unit in Vilnius

Print versionUS point-of-sale (POS) solutions provider Harbortouch is set to establish a product creation and development unit in Vilnius, Invest Lithuania, the government's foreign investment promotion agency, said on Tuesday.

Harbortouch plans to create around 60 IT jobs in what will be its first unit outside the US. The size of the investment is not being disclosed.
Harbortouch CEO Jared Isaacman said in a press release that the company had selected Lithuania due to its IT talent pool and excellent infrastructure.
According to the press release, the company also considered Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Romania and other countries as possible locations for the investment.
Founded in 1999, Harbortouch is a leading US supplier of POS systems, having served over 300,000 merchants nationwide and processing over 12 bln US dollars annually.
