BC, Tallinn, 20.02.2017.Print version
The Estonian software company Helmes has won a framework tender for information systems development of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, reports LETA/BNS.

The volume of the tender is six million euros over a period of four years.

The OECD is provided IT services by several foreign partners the largest of which thus far was the Indian company Tata, partner at Helmes Laur Magi said. "Helmes has increased the number of its consultants to approximately 30 by now, which accounts for half of the volume of IT services outsourced by the OECD," he continued.

"The services of other development partners including Tata are actually considerably more advantageous than ours, but Estonian developers offer a better thought out service with larger value added."

According to Helmes, the volume of work the company is doing for the OECD is constantly growing and it has by now set up a separate team dealing solely with the organization's needs in Estonia, at the OECD headquarters in Paris and in Helmes' Belarusian unit.

Helmes' OECD-related turnover was 1.5 mln euros last year, Magi said. The cooperation between the two started in 2014.
