Latvijas Piens invests EUR 20,000 in innovative protein drink ProCapsul
ProCapsul is made of Latvian-made ingredients but is bottled
in Germany. This cooperation ensures high product quality and longer shelf life
- up to four months. The additives include Omega 3, pectin, phosphorus and
potassium, therefore ProCapsul can replace a full meal.
Latvijas Piens
continues working on development of new products and will soon put on the
market also new cheese products.

market risks by focusing on cheese production and export growth. Latvijas Piens sells its products in
11 countries, and Scandinavia has become its main export market for cheese. The
company exports 50% of its cheese output and is also looking for new export
markets.
Latvijas Piens
opened its dairy plant in 2012. Latvijas
Piens belongs to several Latvian agricultural cooperatives - Latraps (73.28 %), Dzese (16.52 %) and VAKS
(3.64 %).
In 2015, Latvijas
Piens reported a loss of EUR 2.477 mln on a turnover of EUR 11.829 mln in
