BLRT subsidiary Elme Metall opens logistics center in Maardu

Elme Metall, a subsidiary of the Estonian industrial group BLRT Grupp, opened on June 17th a new logistics, metalworking and service center in Maardu, which cost slightly more than five million euros to build, informs LETA/BNS.

The facility is 84,000 square meters in size. The laser, plasma and hydroblasting equipment installed there enables the company to process non-alloy and alloy steels, rolled stainless steel of different thicknesses and aluminum, BLRT said.

 

The center includes also a cleaning and priming line, full rolled metal cutting service, 1,250 ton press brakes, and a high-tech goods warehousing system.

 

Elme Metall is an international enterprise with a workforce of 500 in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland and Russia. Operating 14 warehouses and five service centers on production territories totaling 300,000 square meters, it sells metals and metal products in the Baltic states, Scandinavian countries and eastern Europe, focusing on the machine building, maritime, and oil and gas industries and infrastructure construction.
